Enjoyed our stay at this pleasant, comfortable, and cute home on Nectarine Street! Could have used a full length and better bed pillows.

THE HOME IS CHARMING, EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN AND WAS A PLEASURE TO STAY IN! I WOULD DEFINATELY CONSIDER STAYING HERE WHEN I VISIT CAPE CHARLES AGAIN!

Excellent customer service from Jen. House was great; very clean. Just as advertised. My wife and I stayed for a weekend wedding a short walk away at the Oyster Farm. Downtown is a longer walk or quick bike ride. Quiet, conveniently located. No Wi-Fi so we were forced to "unplug" for a few days. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Would definitely recommend.

We were very pleased with the Flip Flop
House. I left a note for Jen to check wax seal around the commode. Coffee pot was need of a new Keurig would make it easier on the housekeeper and the visitors.

Upon entering the cute little beach town of Cape Charles, I was pleasantly surprised. The town was pristine and the Flip Flop Inn was immaculate. It was clean, comfortable and just far enough away from the town to relax but close enough to walk to, for dinner, movie or just a playful day at the beach. I would recommend the Flip Flop Inn to anyone interested in a peaceful yet fun, getaway.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful week at the Flip Flop Inn. The house was conmortable, nicely decorated, and pleasant to spend time in. The kitchen is well equipped for a rental and it was great to have the grill available and to sit on the porch. I agree with others that the sheets provided left a lot to be desired- we brought our own and were glad we had- but that is truly my only criticism of the house itself. Cape Charles is a beautiful town and we hope to return soon.

The staff are wonderful and friendly. House on the outside is adorable and in a great location.
But wasn't thrilled with the inside---
Walking in to a soiled couch a big turn off! (need leather/vinyl) The kitchen cabinets smelled moldy. The blankets in the closet stunk, could not be used. Overall did not feel clean or smell clean. (fans especially dirty) Bathroom old and dated. so many pillows unnecessary and felt dirty. TV could be bigger and the couch should be a pull out (if your going to advertise 5 people). I think it could be a lot CLEANER and cuter. You need some "fresh eyes" too many knickknacks collecting dust (thru out the house and on the walls). Needs streamlined with less yard sale collections. Could be a fantastic getaway!!

We loved staying in this beautifully decorated home. As empty nesters, this was the prefect size for me, my wife and our dog. The kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking needs. Jen, the rental manager, was wonderful in getting us booked for a stay, answering our questions and getting keys to us on the day of arrival. We brought DVDs and board games since there is only antennae TV and no cable.

My husband, dog, and I just stayed at the Flip Flop Inn for our "babymoon." It was just perfect - even a little big - for the 3 of us. Plenty of kitchen tools available, we grilled at home a few times. It was also a great distance from the beach. If I weren't pregnant, we would have walked, but always found parking. The bed is not very comfortable, so it didn't feel great on my back, but we slept well from our time in the sun all day when we were there.

Sleeping 5 is really a stretch. one queen size bed, one twin with a trundle, and I guess the couch? If most of your party is not small children you will be uncomfortable. nice layout, very clean. Very good property management. Property itself is older. Shower is rusting and really a turn off, AC can never quite keep up.

Clean, inviting decor, nice neighborhood, walking distance to shops.
I only wish my stay was longer. Nice porch to sit out and relax.

This property is located in the town 5 blocks from both the beach and the main street of restaurants and shops - very easy to drive and park at both. The house is a little older, and some appliances and the bathroom are dated, but all functioned well.

When we arrived, the management company had the keys ready to hand over and accommodated an earlier check-in. The house was ready, except for wet towels still in the wash. We had rainy days on this trip, and so we do wish the TV (very small) and channels (local antenna) had more to offer for our entertainment. Otherwise, the common area was spacious to spread out in, great counter top and table top spaces for games and computers. We will consider this place again for the next trip.

We enjoyed our short stay in Cape Charles. The cottage was well equiped with all we needed. My only suggestion would be to add an outdoor shower for beach days! Thank you!

Our family of 3 (plus our dog) stayed in the Flip Flop Inn for our first visit to Cape Charles. Overall, we had an outstanding trip. The house was a comfortable size for us, but would have been a tight fit if we were a larger family. Generally, we felt the house was in 'ok' condition. If the following things were addressed, we would have given the house a better review: Sofa is dirty with several stains, causing me to cover it with a sheet. The only pot we could find to boil water was heavily rusted inside and out. The sheets were pilled and itchy. The house has a musty/damp odor, which remained throughout our visit. Both dressers in the smaller bedroom were smelly. The hardwood floors appeared clean, but were not. Our feet were dirty from walking on the inside of the house. With some serious cleaning and a few improvements, this house would be much, much nicer to rent. The home's location was great - a short drive to the beach. The front porch was lovely to sit on. Chesapeake Properties was extremely pleasant to work with, and even mailed my husband's debit card to us when we left it in the house! We will definitely return to CC and will consider renting this home again.

This little house was a wonderful vacation spot for my family. It was a good space for the 4 of us. The house was so cute & very clean (a few ant visitors, which no surprise at the coast). Bring your bikes! We were able to ride the short distance to the shore and to the ice cream shop, etc. You may want to bring sheets, if you have a finicky sleeper- some of the ones available were knotty. Overall, we can't wait to go back!
My sister and I stayed at the Flip Flop Inn for 2 nights and found it to be a charming little cottage! It was cutely decorated in a beach theme and had everything we needed.

Our family really enjoyed staying at the Flip Flop Inn during our stay in Cape Charles. The home had everything we needed for our stay. The amount of knickknacks added to the coastal design, however, they were cumbersome due to having a little one who wanted to play with everything. It might be worthwhile to relocate some items if you know children will be staying (just to keep your items safe). Lastly, it would have been nice to be within walking distance to the beach, but hopping in the car for a short drive was not bad at all.

We are Cape Charles fans so when I found the Flip Flop Inn for a last minute getaway I was thrilled. Great space for a small family or couples. Had everything we needed. Clean, great location, wonderful front porch, and price was just right. Can't wait to go back.

Had a wonderful time on a quiet area near the beach. Loved golf cart riding and little shops in town.

We loved our stay at the Flip Flop Inn. The house was just right for the four of us and our little dog Gia. The decor was very beachy and cute with a flip flop theme. We never forgot that we were on vacation. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch. Cape Charles is such a peaceful town. The location of the house was nice. Gia and I took many walks up and down Washington Avenue enjoying the views of the lake and the colorful houses. We enjoyed the Schriners Parade that included large men driving tiny cars and trucks. There were some fire works at the end of our stay with a great finale. We enjoyed watching them from the beach. The beach was much larger this year. We took the dolphin cruise on the Miss Jennifer for the second year in a row and saw many dolphins and a beautiful sunset. The Cape Charles Museum and Welcome Center was very interesting. The Coach House was a nice place to eat with a wide variety of food choices and pricing. The Oyster Farm was fun. We ate on the patio overlooking the bay. Everyone but myself and Gia missed having internet access at this house. The Chesapeake Bay Realty Staff and the rental owners were all very nice and helpful. Thank you!

Lloved our little beach house, Flip Flop Inn. It was very well supplied as well as very clean. The beach was just a short distance away. Our teen age grandson skateboarded to the beach each day. It is a lovely little community that is safe and friendly. Didn't miss the beach traffic of other popular beaches.

We loved the flip flop inn. It was decorated so nicely. A great size for our family of 6. We would have preferred a outdoor shower with all the little feet going in and out, but they had a hose around back and that helped. We were hoping it was within walking distance to the public beach but it was to far for the whole family to walk. It was very easy to drive though and never had a problem parking at the beach. Overall, the beach and sunsets were breathtaking, we found some fun kid programs at kiptopeke state park that were great fun, and we loved our home away from home!!

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Flip Flop Inn! It was a wonderful location for a short and easy walk over to the beautiful beach or to the "main drag" in Cape Charles. The house was very comfortable and very convenient for the 3 of us - I only wish we had stayed longer!

It was very good. Only suggestion I would make is to switch the bedrooms. The master was in the sun the whole day. The other bedroom was a lot cooler.

House was clean, cute, and central located. Would definitely recommend it to future guests.

My first impressions were; clean, accommodating and charming. My friend and I loved the vibe of the little place. It was on the older side, but had a lot of character and was well loved! It was in a great location, walking distance to the beach and the Oyster Farm (restaurant and you can rent kayaks and bikes) Cape Charles is best described as taking a step back in time without all of the commercialism. The staff at Chesapeake Bay properties went out of there way in being helpful. Make sure you visit Kiptopeke State Park, Kelly's Pub, The Shanty and the Oyster Farm for some great food. Oh and of course the Brown Dog Ice Cream shop downtown, where they make there own!
